Blending into its beautiful river setting, Thorntree River Lodge draws inspiration from the local culture and customs of Zambia. Eight tented rooms and four family units stretch out along the river’s banks, offering elegant interiors with indoor and outdoor bathrooms, as well as sparkling private plunge pools.

Meals are served in an open dining area that also features a cosy wine cellar ideal for more intimate occasions. Guests can catch up on their reading in the lodge’s library, work out in the gym or enjoy a treatment at the spa while looking out onto magnificent river views. A vast deck at the river’s edge features a sunken boma for outdoor dining and a beautiful infinity pool. The floating wooden deck edges out into the river, blending the edges between land and water. Activities include tours of Victoria Falls, visits to a nearby village, sunset river cruises, fishing and visits to Livingstone Museum.
